5 Reasons To Buy a Home in The Fall

Avoid the stress of searching during the Spring and Summer!

    1. Less Competition:

Spring and summer are notorious for being the most popular seasons to buy and sell a home. Because of this fall is a great time to look for a home, old inventory that didn’t sell during the prime season is still on the market while new properties are starting to come one. This allows you to be a perfect position for negotiating, you won’t have to fight with other buyers to win your desired home, and for homes that didn’t sell right away, they are more likely to be motivated to sell quickly.

    2. Sellers are tired:

As mentioned before, sellers who put their home on the market during the spring or summer seasons might have struggled to sell their home for one reason or another. After months of nothing happening these sellers are usually eager to make a deal.

    3. Prices will continue to rise:

CoreLogic’s latest Home Price Index reports that home prices have appreciated by 6.7% over the last 12 months. The same report predicts that prices will continue to increase at a rate of 5.0% over the next year. Waiting is no longer reasonable as home values will continue to appreciate for years.

    4. Lower Home Prices:

Based on RealtyTrac’s analysis of more than 32 million home sales over 15 years, October is the best time to get a great deal when buying a home.

    5. Home improvement bargains:

Once you close on your dream home, you may want to upgrade or renovate your new home. As it nears the end of the year there are bigger sales for major appliances, consumer reports even stated it’s the best time to buy cookware and televisions.
